Romanian Cave memorial This is my son beside a cross in a Carpathian cave. Below him is a hundred foot drop. The cross apparently is for a young man who fell to his death from the cave entrance a few years ago. Whilst being quite remote this is a place that people visit to either A) See the hundreds of bats that live here or B) Party and drink and smoke. It doesn’t really matter any more but I suppose I hope that this person was having a really good time with friends right up to that last moment. Not that this would be much consolation to his loved ones.
